Review: The 2 Week Diet

by | Aug 1, 2018 | Mixed/Balanced Diets | 0 comments

The name of The 2 Week Diet gives the impression that it is yet another crash or fad diet. It sounds like one of dozens of other strategies that promise significant weight loss in a small amount of time. Those diets inevitably cause water loss that makes it seem as though you’re losing weight, though you will only regain it with hydration a short while later.

However, The 2 Week Diet is not at all designed to work as a crash diet. Instead, it is a concept created by a nutritionist and personal trainer named Brian Flatt. While the promise is that a dieter using this concept could lose up to 19 pounds in 14 days, it’s important to note that “up to” in the claim. It does not promise that everyone will reach that level, nor that it would be appropriate for everyone.

In fact, most doctors would not recommend that rate of weight loss. The 2 Week Diet is not a miracle program. It will not cause you to lose two dress sizes in a couple of weeks. It’s just not realistic to think that any diet could work that way. However, someone who is quite obese and who follows this program may lose quite a few pounds within the first fourteen days.

What Does The 2 Week Diet Include?

The 2 Week Diet is a system that includes 4 downloadable ebooks. These are the Launch Handbook that explains how the system works and how to use the diet in a step by step way; the 2 Week Diet Handbook, which talks about what you should and should not eat; the 2 Week Activity Handbook, which works as an exercise guide; and the 2 Week Motivation Handbook, which is meant to help dieters to achieve the right weight loss mindset.

This strategy has a number of positives that make it easier to follow. For one thing, it is based on body fat percentage, not body weight. For another thing, it provides very clear instructions regarding exactly what you should and should not be doing. It is not meant to be one size fits all. Moreover, it doesn’t require dieters to take any supplements or medications.

On the other hand, the main downside is that its claims set up many people to expect more than it may be able to provide. It may not directly make inaccurate claims, but they are worded in such a way that people could be mislead by them. The odds are very low that the majority of people following this diet will lose 19 pounds in 2 weeks, even if they follow it to the letter.
